Vyborny: CSTO PA Develops Recommendations on Liability for Acts Related to the Rehabilitation of Nazism and Distortion of Historical Truth
CSTO PA Standing Commissions on Defence and Security, Political Affairs and International Cooperation and Socioeconomic and Legal Issues held a joint meeting. Anatoly Vyborny, State Duma deputy and Chairman of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Defence and Security, shared the details.
“The agenda includes the issue of introducing amendments and additions to the 2021–2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States. They concern, among other things, renaming and amending the titles of a number of recommendations. In particular, the proposal of the Parliaments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan to clarify one of the sections of the Action Plan concerning the drafting of recommendations was supported; the proposed title is as follows: Recommendations on Liability for Acts Related to the Rehabilitation of Nazism and Distortion of Historical Truth in the Legislation of the CSTO Member States,” said Anatoly Vyborny.
He added that it was decided to apply to the CSTO PA Council for inclusion into the Action Plan of a number of clarifications and additions related to the drafting of Recommendations on Legislative Support of Biological Security of the CSTO Member States and of the concept of draft Recommendations on Approximation and Harmonization of Criminal and Administrative and Tort Legislation of the CSTO Member States in the Area of Critical Information Infrastructure Security.
“The draft recommendations, finalized with the comments and suggestions taken into account, will be submitted for consideration at the next plenary session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly,” Mr Vyborny said.
As you may recall, the 2021–2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States was adopted by the decision of the thirteenth plenary session of the CSTO PA on November 30, 2020. The Action Plan was subsequently amended and supplemented by the CSTO PA Council.
