Sadyr Japarov: All Disagreements Should Be Resolved Exclusively Through Peaceful Means
The VI Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia is taking place in Astana on August 9.
Speaking to his colleagues, Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, touched upon a number of important issues ranging from security to economy.
He noted that in the modern world, all disagreements should be resolved exclusively through peaceful means at the negotiating table.
"For Kyrgyzstan, peace and stability in Afghanistan is one of the priorities and key conditions in the system of regional security," Sadyr Japarov stated.
In addition, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic suggested considering different ways to create multimodal routes and transportation corridors through the countries of the Central Asian region.
In the middle of September, Kyrgyzstan will host CSTO military exercises, which will be monitored by a mission of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Military formations and monitoring missions will be provided with unobstructed movement within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
